Sorry Yall!
Things have been so hectic lately it’s hard to keep up with this thing. BUT, good news is Sky & I are happy and having a blast. I’ll post pictures in a bit.
Hope everyone is doing well :)
I Hope Everyone Had An Amazing Christmas :)
This year was the first year I really felt like a mom. I stayed up till one in the morning wrapping presents from Santa, drinking the glass of milk and half-eating the cookies laid out. But I think the most creative part on this Christmas was when I went to go put up the tree around midnight on Christmas day.
[ * it’s a tradition in my family to put up the tree, decorations and presents on Christmas Eve after the kids have gone to bed. Usually, you set up the tree first and call the kids out to see but this year we did things differently & thank god we did, haha. ]
So at midnight, I go to get the tree out of this box my grandmother brought up with her and the box is EMPTY! I was panicking. How can we have Christmas without a tree? I quickly decided to make one out of construction paper. It was a really thrown-together tree. I taped it to the wall and wrapped the presents around and it actually came together.
I wrote a note saying that Santa’s elves noticed we didn’t have a tree and made one for us. When my younger siblings saw that, they were grinning ear to ear because they were so happy the elves did that for us. I was so proud of my creation then.
Here’s a photo of the final set up. It was an amazing day and Skylar had a blast opening presents (some that weren’t even hers) and it was an amazing hour and a half; haha. Merry Christmas everyone!

What an eventful day! We were both wearing purple, she helped clean and then got herself dirty, haha.
I Feel Like I Haven’t Posted In Forever….
Things have been so busy here. There’s not a dull moment and that’s not necessarily a good thing. Skylar is just being absolutely adorable and keeps getting bigger and bigger. She sings along now with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Wheels on the Bus, Skittle-a-rink-a-dink, and a few others.
She’s just getting so big and it’s hard to think she’s be two years old in April! I’m just so blessed to have her.
She’s learning new words everyday and copies me when sometimes she shouldn’t. For example, after a five hour train ride I said, “Oh, my butt hurts.” and for the rest of the night, Skylar kept saying, “My butt”. It was hysterical.
I’m just so infatuated with my amazing daughter <3

We had a fun day yesterday :)
Skylar’s First Unintentional Curse Word.
Skylar has a habit of standing up on chairs or running across the length of the couch and I’m constantly telling her to “sit down”.
Well, lately she’s been quite the parrot and repeating almost everything she hears but to her “sit” sounded like “shit”.
So now, everytime I tell her to sit, she’ll keep repeating “shit”.
enjoying the outdoors :D
